Mrs. Maryland Essence 2009
Tamika Hall has been crowned Mrs. Maryland Essence 2009 and will compete for the national title of Mrs. Essence on August 29, 2009 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Described by SisterDivas Magazine as ‘Young, Powerful, and Determined!” and nominated as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women, Tamika Hall is a highly sought after speaker and performer. Tamika has spoken around the Country to thousands of children, youth, and concerned adults about bullying, dating violence, domestic violence, and discovering one’s personal best. A survivor of dating and domestic abuse, Hall will continue the work she has done with dating violence for the last ten years under her popular program, “Love Doesn’t Leave Bruises!”
In 2005, she authored the award winning book “He Loves Me Not, But I Love Myself!A young woman’s guide to conquering dating violence & finding safe love.” And will be releasing the third printing under a new title, “Love Doesn’t Leave Bruises!”
Hall is the founder of the Teen Awareness of Dating Abuse Institute, Nobody Likes A Bully Program, Dare to be DIVA Curriculum.
The Chief designer of her own inspirational clothing line, Mikatoure, (www.mikatoure.com), Tamika has dedicated her life to empowering young women.
The proud wife of Terrelle Hall, the two reside on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with their four children, and attend Greater New Hope Church & Ministries. This fall they will be releasing their first gospel CD, “The Anointing.”
