Mrs. MD Essence 2010 Launches SPANGLISH KIDS!

Vibrant, colorful, & fun are just a few words to describe Spanglish Kids! Tamika Hall, the creator and chief designer of Spanglish Kids knows all about kids as she is the mother of four and has worked in education both as a teacher and academic coordinator for more than five years. At first glance many may look at this Beauty queen and think that she is an unlikely designer of children’s clothing but there is more than meets the eye. Tamika says, “I started taking Spanish when I was in the eighth grade, my love for the language continued through college and now my husband and I teach the language to our children!” Tamika and her husband Terrelle Hall operate a small marketing & production firm, El Shaddai Productions where Tamika is the creative director and graphics designer. “To me it was just natural to fuse my love of graphics design and the Spanish language to promote bilingual education. I created Spanglish Kids so that children would be excited to practice new Spanish words all day while wearing their t-shirts.” Parents don’t need to feel left out, because the shirts are also available in adult sizes. Tamika encourages parents to incorporate bilingual education at least two times a week into their family time. “Your children will love it! You’ll find them begging for Spanish time and it only requires 15-20 minutes of your time.” To help with this is the release of Spanglish Kids books. The first installment includes five books under the “Los Animales Dicen…” (the animals say) series. For more information on Spanglish Kids Apparel & Books, log onto: www.spanglishkids.com.
